Amy's lean out meal plan

Let me start off by saying that this meal plan sucks. Like majorly blows. It gets boring, there's no "fun" foods whatsoever. BUT (and thats a huge but) it works extremely well. Your nutrition is 70-90% of your fitness goals. That being said, you have been warned. Its freakin tough.

Meal 1 - as soon as you wake up

1/2 cup plain oatmeal

1 scoop whey protein powder (available at any nutrition store; ie Vitamin World, GNC, even Walmart)

Meal 2 - 4 hours after meal 1

The NCGA (National Corn Growers Association) and other groups can talk until they're blue in the face about how "safe" HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) is and how its "part of a balanced daily diet in moderation"; but until they can disprove the mountains of research that is out there against it... my personal recommendation is to use it in severe moderation. This article from Spark People explains it a little bit better.

Today you're going to forget the word "Comfort Zone"

Add extra intensity in your exercise. You need to feel a little uncomfortable. Feel a little more sweat, breath a little harder, go a little further.

That\'s going to take you to the next level. It\'s worth your heavy breath.

Be energetic, be inspired, be excited, be challenged.

Have an awesome weekend everyone! Get outside if you can!

The brain needs more than just mental stimulation - it needs physical stimulation as well.

When we exercise, our brain literally thrives on the increased oxygen and blood flow. It rewards us with increased sharpness and focus.

Negative or “Feeling down” thoughts are blockages in our thinking patterns, they can manifest from being stagnant.

When we exercise we increase circulation and with that rush we need to intentionally take the time to CONNECT our brains to our bodies. ...
